Message by UN Secretary-General António Guterres on World Wildlife Day聯(lián)合國(guó)秘書(shū)長(zhǎng)安東尼奧·古特雷斯世界野生動(dòng)植物日致辭On World Wildlife Day, we reflect on our responsibility to protect the magnificent diversity of life on our planet. 值此世界野生動(dòng)植物日，我們反思自己保護(hù)地球上盛大壯觀豐富多樣生命的責(zé)任。?And we recognize our abject failure. Human activities are laying waste to once-thriving forests, jungles, farmland, oceans, rivers, seas, and lakes.人類活動(dòng)正在毀壞曾經(jīng)繁盛的森林、叢林、農(nóng)田和江洋湖海。One million species teeter on the brink of extinction, due to habitat destruction, fossil fuel pollution and the worsening climate crisis. 由于棲息地遭到破壞、化石燃料污染和日益惡化的氣候危機(jī)，上百萬(wàn)物種瀕臨滅絕。?
